Youth Campaigns

Novi Sad, Zrenjanin, Beograd, Novi Pazar, Kruševac | December 2014

Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Serbia staged street campaigns in Belgrade, Kruševac, Zrenjanin, Novi Pazar and Novi Sad throughout December 2014. Youth campaigns were part of the project “Youth against Extremism: Think for Yourself” realized with the assistance of the Foundation for Open Society, Serbia. Activists of Helsinki Committee Youth Groups and numbers of young people from local communities had designed and realized street campaigns by themselves: they were handing out flyers and leaflets with messages and slogans against extremism and hate speech, and interviewing passersby about hate speech and other negative trends fueling extremism in their communities.
