The Helsinki
Committee for Human Rights in Serbia
has held meetings with 15
representatives of Ministries of
Education of Bosnia and Herzegovina
who were visiting Serbia. On the 7th
of February, we visited the Ministry
of Education, Science and
Technological Development of the
Republic of Serbia and discussed the
education systems in both countries,
with a particular emphasis on the
integration of education and
training for human rights and civic
education. On February the 8th, our
guests from Bosnia and Hercegovina
also spoke with representatives of
civil society at the Human Rights
House in Belgrade.
The meetings were organized within the project
“Civic Education Mission” implemented by the Helsinki Committee for
Human Rights in the Republic of Srpska in cooperation with the
Association for Democratic Initiatives. Meetings in Belgrade
preceded the meeting in Zagreb, and after Belgrade, representatives
from Bosnia and Herzegovina will be going to Podgorica to discuss
with their counterparts from Montenegro on the highlighted topics.
