Joint Statement of Civil Society Organizations

Determine the Responsibility for Delivering the Publication "Srebrenica - the official lie of an era" to the Covid Hospital in "Stark Arena"

7 April 2021

We demand from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Defense to determine who enabled the delivery of a large number of copies of the publication "Srebrenica - the official lie of an era" to the temporary Covid hospital in Belgrade's "Stark Arena". We also request that this publication be withdrawn immediately from the mentioned Covid hospital, as well as all other public / state places where it is exhibited.

Let us remind you, in the text "Poisoning literature for the sick" by Una Sabljaković, published in the weekly "Vreme", it is stated that three publications of "Pečat" are available to patients in the Arena, including "Srebrenica - the official lie of an era". The publication states that the number of 8,000 victims was "collected" while challenging the evidence, testimonies of witnesses and forensic findings of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY).

The state of Serbia is the first and so far the only country in the world to be found responsible by the International Court of Justice for violating the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide because its state authorities had information about genocide but did nothing to prevent genocide in Srebrenica.

The verdicts before the ICTY proved the individual criminal responsibility of a large number of members of Serbian armed formations and political institutions that acted in order to achieve a "Greater Serbia", and the genocide in Srebrenica was part of that project.

If the state institutions of Serbia are silent on the propaganda aimed at denying the genocide in Srebrenica, it will be a sign that they are still on the side of Slobodan Milosevic's regime.
