NO-OBLIVION (2024-2025) |
 |
|
„Promocija univerzalne jurisdikcije uz podsećanje na zločine
počinjene na području bivše Jugoslavije“ (NO-OBLIVION) je projekat
koji finansira Evropska unija, s ciljem refleksije na konflikte i
zločine počinjene tokom rata na području bivše Jugoslavije, očuvanja
naučenih lekcija iz posleratnog perioda i očuvanja evropskog nasleđa
ljudskih prava, demokratskih vrednosti, vladavine prava, univerzalne
jurisdikcije i mira.
U tom smislu, projekat primenjuje holistički i međugeneracijski
dvostruki pristup: s jedne strane, holističku kampanju podizanja
svesti usmerenu na mlađe generacije, koja se dalje proširuje na mase;
a s druge strane, isprepletenu strategiju izgradnje znanja usmerenu
na pravosudne stručnjake i njihovo osposobljavanje u oblastima
univerzalne jurisdikcije i međunarodnog krivičnog prava.
Tokom projekta je održano mnoštvo različitih događaja kao što su
višegeneracijski razgovori i
podkasti, konferencije,
virtuelne izložbe,
projekcije filmova uživo, a razvijeni su i važni informativni i
obrazovni materijali poput
akademskog časopisa,
brošure sa sudskom praksom i
Vodiča za Univerzalnu Jurisdikciju koji će biti korisni i za
praktičare i za akademike.
Projekat NO-OBLIVION vodi
European Association of Social Innovation (Rumunija) a partneri
su
IPS_Innovative Prison Systems (Portugal),
Victim Support Europe (Belgija),
Camino (Nemačka),
Documenta (Hrvatska),
Helsinški Odbor za ljudska prava u Srbiji,
Centar za
sigurnosne studije (Bosna i Hercegovina), i
Kosovski Centar za Diplomatiju. Pored pomenutih, projektu su se
pridružili stručnjaci i institucije iz više od 15 evropskih zemalja.

CASE-LAW PRACTICAL BOOKLET
Subašić-Galijatović, Sabina (UNSA); Pružan,
Mersudin (Prosecutors Office of BiH – State Prosecutor for War
Crimes); Fočo, Adnan (UNSA)
February 2025.

The texts collected here represent, in essence, an analysis of
the court judgments of international and regional courts
regarding the prosecution of war crimes in the territory of the
former Yugoslavia. Viewed in themselves and in |
|
the context of world-historical relations,
judgments are not intended as factors that should contribute to
reconciliation between the warring parties. In essence,
judgments should establish and satisfy the criteria of justice,
which in the circumstances of war and war crimes cannot be
articulated as some kind of abstraction. In this sense, the
booklet presented to the readers seeks to problematize in a
broad sense the most important aspects of what in general
reception can be considered a kind of hermeneutic and
epistemological undertaking based on a better
understanding of the devastating consequences of war and
cultural trauma. Wars produce "cultural traumas" (Jeffrey C.
Alexander) - they destroy the fabric of society, destroy the
cultural substance of the community...

We are pleased to present the inaugural edition of the Memory
Lane Online Journal, developed in the framework of the
NO-OBLIVION project. NO-OBLIVION “Promoting Universal
Jurisdiction while Evoking the Crimes Committed within the
Former |
 |
|
Yugoslavia” aims to promote the use of
universal
jurisdiction as a tool for addressing crimes committed
during the conflicts in the former Yugoslavia. The project seeks
to preserve the lessons learned from these conflicts and ensure
that the legacy of respect for human rights, the rule of law,
and justice remains integral to European
society. The articles featured in this journal have undergone a
rigorous review by the Kosovo Center of Diplomacy (KCD) to
ensure academic integrity and quality. This journal has been
edited and curated by the dedicated team at IPS_Innovative
Prison Systems (IPS), bringing together diverse perspectives on
the legacy of the ICTY and related themes. We hope this journal
contributes meaningfully to ongoing discussions about justice...
