The refugee issue, one of key moral and political
issues of Serbia instead of being tackled, is constantly sidelined.
The Yugoslav authorities in the past 10 years did not show any
understanding for
problems of refugees, except when concern over
their fate served their political purposes and-

Issue of refugees, one of the key moral,
political and economic topics in Serbia, continues to be sidelined.
One gets the impression that the new authorities, like the former
regime, use refugees only to further their own ends or for
promotional purposes. Status of refugees in Serbia after DOS
