The Helsinki Committee for
Human Rights in Serbia organized theatre workshops on interfaith
tolerance. High school students from Novi Pazar took part in the
workshops. Using the play “Nathan the Wise” by 18th
century German writer and outstanding representative of the
Enlightenment G. E. Lessing as their starting point, and calling
upon examples of ethnic and religious intolerance from their own
social environment, the participants developed an original dramatic
text and theatre play. Playwright and director Zlatko Pakovic guided
them through this process. The play was staged at
the Concert Hall of the Novi Pazar Cultural Center on May 31, 2019. |
